April has spent several years working in Higher Education, supporting both the development of applications for research grants and the management of externally-funded research projects.
In addition to supporting the Education, Peace and Politics research programme, April is also Network Manager of the UKRI-funded Political Economy Analysis of Education (PEER) Network.
Prior to joining the School of Education at Ulster University she worked as a research development officer within the Rights Lab Research Beacon at the University of Nottingham and has also supported research projects at Loughborough University and De Montfort University. Having formally trained as a teacher April firmly believes in the importance of education as a tool for positive change and is delighted to be supporting this important project.
April has a BA in French and Italian from the University of Reading, a PGCE in Modern Languages from the University of Leicester and an MA by Research in French Studies from the University of Nottingham.
